ГОУ ДПО (ПК) С «Марийский институт образования» совместно с Информационно-образовательным центром «Анкор» (г. Чебоксары) и Британским издательством «Oxford University Press» провел на базе Лицея имени Ломоносова методический семинар для учителей английского языка Республики Марий Эл по теме «Профессиональное становление учителя иностранного языка»

Участникам семинара были представлены различные технологии обучения видам речевой деятельности (грамматика, говорение, чтение). Вел семинар ведущий методист издательства «Oxford University Press» (Великобритания) Peter Redpath.

Peter Redpath is a teacher and a teacher trainer in the U.K., Spain, Austria, Germany.Australia, India, Vietnam, Qatar, Libya, Sudan, Turkey and the UAE. He is also the Chief Assessor for Cambridge TESOL Teacher Training Courses in Spain and Portugal. Co-author of a series of primary coursebooks for OUP.

2. Speaking Problems and Solutions
Developing your students speaking skills. We want our students to feel comfortable speaking in English, but getting our students to speak can be one of the most difficult parts of the teaching process. This session is designed to look at how we can help our students to feel more confident using English, how we can motivate them to speak in class and how we can help them to develop strategies to cope with speaking situations both in real life and when doing speaking exams.

Reading is vital for Young Learners. It's not just a way into learning better English, it's not just a way of opening up new worlds of the imagination, it is also a key skill for life outside school. Yet for teachers, especially if they teach other ages too, teaching reading to Young Learners can be a challenge and so it's important to have a systematic approach to the skill.
